Real panning technique is little bit tricky. Normally we shoot at shutter priority mode, using AI servo focus mode and multiple burst/continuous shoot. Shutter speed is adjusted according to object speed. Before we release shutter, we pointed camera on moving object and move the camera following the object movement. Trust me it's tricky.
